On the morning of May 7 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung had a meeting with Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors (VACC). Representatives of leaders of relevant departments, institutes attended the meeting.

Reported to the Vice Minister on the Program to consider and choose the title of Vietnam prestigious construction contractor for the first time organized by the Association, VACC Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hiep said that the title of Vietnam prestigious construction contractor was considered by the national professional organization which will play an important role in supporting construction enterprises of all economic sectors.
VACC will consider the title of the first prestigious Vietnam Construction Contractor from all domestic and international enterprises operating in all construction sectors in the Vietnamese market, including construction and installation.
The title will be selected every 3 years. Contractors certified as prestigious Vietnamese Construction Contractors will be given priority when participating in bidding for construction works in Vietnam and are widely publicized and posted on the Association's information system and other mass media to promote the brand and enhance the reputation of construction businesses in the Vietnamese market. The list of reputable Vietnamese construction contractors will be translated into English to introduce and advertise to associations and construction enterprises in countries with VACC relations.
The Ministry of Construction cooperates with VACC to organize awards. The focal point will assign the Department of State Appraisal of Work Quality to coordinate with other units for implementation.
The Association needs to finalize the criteria and conditions for voting to formulate a project to report officially to the Ministry of Construction, complete legal procedures, then proceed to the voting program.
The identity of the winning bidders will be saved on the Ministry of Construction website and the Association's information system. In particular, the contractor will be more preferential when bidding.
